Uganski’s Roll-off Service has been a family  company in Muskegon, Michigan since the early 1940s. It was originally opened as Midway Trucking by the first generation John Uganski near the corner of Laketon and Seaway Drive in Muskegon. In 1974 the company began hauling scrap and waste – one of the first to do so in Muskegon. By 1985 the third generation John Uganski and his brother, Daniel Joe, purchased the company. In 2008 John and his wife, Toni, began operating on their own.
In the beginning of 2017 Jim and Sherri VanderWier, longtime friends of John and Toni Uganski purchased the roll-off and scrapyard business. The company was purchased with the intent to operate Uganski’s with the same exceptional service West Michigan has been accustomed to for the past eight decades. As the owner of neighboring Redi Rental in Muskegon Heights for 40 years and Schuitema Moving, Jim and Sherri understand the importance of the communities as well as the needed economic growth within Muskegon County. They are excited to take Uganski’s through the next phase of its life. You’ll start to see some changes around Ugs, as we affectionately call it. First to come will be restrooms, fencing and storage containers rented in conjunction with Redi Rental and Schuitema Moving. We’re integrating new software to track our drivers and containers. And you can expect to see an online store in the near future, selling treasures reclaimed through our scrapyard.
Thank you from Jim and Sherri
